Zach Edey scored 20 points and Jaden Ivey added 17 to lift No. 23 Purdue to a 67-58 win over Indiana on Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind.

Purdue (18-8 overall, 13-6 Big Ten) won its fifth straight game overall and ninth consecutive contest against the rival Hoosiers, dating back to the 2015-16 season.

The 7-foot-4 Edey was too much for Indiana to handle inside, as the freshman made 8 of 10 shots from the floor and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line. Edey scored six of Purdue's final eight points, including a putback bank shot with 58.3 seconds left that extended Purdue's lead to 61-52.

Al Durham had 14 points to pace Indiana (12-14, 7-12), while Jerome Hunter and Trayce Jackson-Davis added 12 points apiece.

Rob Phinisee collected 10 points, six rebounds and four assists, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Hoosiers from sustaining their fifth straight loss. Indiana, which hasn't scored more than 58 points in each of its last three games, shot just 38.5 percent from the floor and 21.7 percent from 3-point range.

Indiana jumped to an early 7-0 lead following a Phinisee three-point play.

The Boilermakers regrouped by getting the ball inside to Edey, who scored three straight baskets on a hook shot and two dunks to give Purdue a 13-9 lead.

From there, Purdue was able to extend its offense out to the 3-point line. Sasha Stefanovic's first 3-pointer of the half put the Boilermakers up 16-11, then Mason Gillis extended Purdue's lead to 23-13 with a 3-pointer from the top of the key.

Stefanovic gave Purdue its largest lead of the half, 28-16, on a 3-pointer with 3:44 left in the half. But Indiana was able to cut Purdue's lead to 29-20 at halftime on baskets from Durham and Phinisee.

Purdue shot 47.6 percent from the field in the first half, but turned the ball over eight times. Indiana shot just 29.6 percent from the field and 7.7 percent (1-13) from 3-point range.
